Toast is available to hire for your private event.

The intimate, cosy atmosphere makes it an ideal venue whatever the occasion, whether it be a family birthday party, a baby shower or any other celebration.

At the moment Toast is not allowed to sell alcohol, but a temporary licence can be applied for or alternatively we would be happy for you to supply your own alcohol and we can supply the glasses, ice and lemon!

Private dining offers you sole use of the venue from 6.45 to 10.30 and the venue is specially prepared to ensure your event has a nice touch. I dropped some bottles of prosecco off at the venue earlier in the day and these were kept nice and chilled in readiness. An excellent facility to hold a private event, very personal, with 3 of our guests now seeking to book their own event at Toast. I would definitely recommend Toast to family and friends for private dining.

We had the pleasure of experiencing the private dining at Toast for an 18th Birthday Celebration & I can’t recommend it highly enough. The venue was presented beautifully & the food & service were both fantastic. I personally had black pudding & bacon salad, fillet of beef cooked in Barolo wine, and Baileys banana & chocolate trifle which was utterly delicious. If you’re looking for a private space for an evening family celebration, then Lisa & her team will ensure it’s a night to remember!

St Julie’s Over Fifty Club

Had our first visit today for lunch. We live not far away and walked down which was pleasant in iteslf. Nice atmosphere with nice young ladies in attendance. We sat in the courtyard. We had omlette and a pot of tea. The omlette was superb and very well presented. The pot of tea lasted forever. As we said when leaving it was our first visit but certainly not our last.

I booked for afternoon tea here for myself, my two daughters and my daughter in law based on the really great reviews. It is a fab, quaint place with a great atmosphere. The sandwiches we’re delicious, the cheese and chutney were so tasty, ham was of a really good quality and cut to a good thickness and tuna was just the right mix all served on lovely fresh wholemeal bread. The scone with jam and cream was just perfection with the fresh strawberries. It was all presented well and it was a real treat for us. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely go again and that was agreed by my daughters and daughter in law too.

I had a Birthday celebration recently and had a party of 12 for Afternoon Tea. Lisa and the team really looked after us and everyone had a great time. Good comments all round.

The staff are lovely. The food is always good and menu varied. Breakfast is about as good as you could want and lunch is worth travelling for. The afternoon tea served is fantastic on a summers afternoon.
